Since 2009, Sisanda FunDaytion has been creating joyful and enriching experiences for children across Cape Town. This non-profit organisation is committed to empowering resilient youth through the power of play. Its programmes focus on mental health, youth development, and strengthening families and communities, especially in areas like Manenberg, Nyanga and Gugulethu.
As part of its Mandela Day initiative, Sisanda FunDaytion is inviting children and youth from these communities to a special outing at the Zip Zap Circus. The goal is to create a fun and unforgettable experience where children can witness young performers being brave, learning new skills, and building trust within a team.
These Fun Day outings give children the chance to connect with others, explore new places and learn emotional regulation in a safe and supportive environment. Youth Play Ambassadors guide the children through playful learning that encourages curiosity, confidence and life skills.
This event also helps raise funds for Sisanda FunDaytion’s ongoing programmes. The public can support the cause by buying tickets for the Zip Zap show through the Quicket portal. Every ticket sold helps create more opportunities for the children they serve.
