Heavy rains on the East Coast have resulted in floods in various parts of the Eastern Cape. The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) was deployed to assist with rescue and evacuation in Port St Johns on Tuesday morning.
SANDF, local authorities and disaster management teams have banded together to ensure the safety of the hundreds of residents who have been displaced.
