Global Citizen, the action takers that have been connecting people and challenging world leaders to do their part for our planet is back this year with a truly special Global Citizen Live Event.

Since its humble beginnings in 2008, Global Citizen has grown to dizzy heights with its campaigns that encourage the impact makers of the world to work together and facilitate change with the end goal of eradicating extreme poverty for everyone, everywhere.

Some of the biggest names in music and entertainment will help rally the masses in demanding a bigger effort to defeat poverty and defend the planet, which is the theme for the event. The focus will be on the current threats that are a reality for so many around the world living in poverty – climate change, vaccine equity and feeding the millions facing famine.

Spread across the globe from Lagos, Nigeria to New York City, the event will connect governments and people for a 24 hour worldwide showcase on the 25th September.

With an elite broadcast and streaming team including YouTube, ABC News Live, BBC, iHeartRadio, TIME, Twitter, and more. There is no doubt that come 25th September, billions across the globe will be joined in the fight against poverty.

Our incredible homegrown African talents that will be lending their voices to defend the planet, include Angélique Kidjo, Burna Boy, Davido, Femi Kuti, Made Kuti and Tiwa Savage, alongside world class international artists such as Adam Lambert, Alessia Cara, Andrea Bocelli, Billie Eilish, Black Eyed Peas, BTS, Camila Cabello, Christine and the Queens, Coldplay, Cyndi Lauper, Demi Lovato, Doja Cat, DJ Snake, Duran Duran, Ed Sheeran, Green Day, H.E.R., Jon Batiste and Stay Human, Keith Urban, Lang Lang, Lizzo, Lorde, The Lumineers, Meek Mill, Metallica, Ricky Martin, Shawn Mendes, The Weekend, and R&B Icon, Usher from locations in Lagos, Rio de Janeiro, Los Angeles, New York City, Paris, London, Seoul, Sydney and many more.
