The Ayanda Ndamane Foundation will host THETHA NDODA “Men Speak Up”, a men’s empowerment and healing dialogue aimed at creating a safe and constructive platform for men to discuss the social and personal challenges they face openly.
The dialogue will take place on 28 February 2026 at Mewway Hall (OR Tambo), Khayelitsha, from 10:00 to 13:00.
THETHA NDODA seeks to address critical issues affecting men and communities, including:
• Mental health awareness
• Fatherhood and family responsibility
• Life challenges and social pressures
• Promoting positive masculinity
• Ending Gender-Based Violence
The initiative recognises that many men carry emotional burdens, trauma, financial stress, and societal expectations in silence. By fostering an environment for open dialogue, the programme aims to strengthen families, promote healthier coping mechanisms, and contribute to safer communities.
“This is more than a conversation; it is a call for men to speak, heal, and lead with purpose,” says the Foundation. “When men are supported and empowered, families and communities thrive.”
The event is free of charge and open to all men in the community.
