Shincheonji Volunteers and WCBS Host Healthy Lifestyle Awareness Day

Shincheonji Volunteers, in partnership with the Western Cape Blood Services (WCBS), hosted a Healthy Lifestyle Awareness Day at Shincheonji (New Heaven New Earth) Church of Jesus, in Cape Town on 21 February 2025. The event emphasised proactive health management, self-care, and community service, drawing participation from local high schools and community members.

The initiative featured a blood donation drive alongside interactive booths where doctors provided expert advice on physical and mental well-being. Pupils from Cape Town High School and Good Hope Seminary High School joined the effort, further strengthening the spirit of youth-led social responsibility.

Blood donors eagerly wait for their turn to donate.

Apiwe Sikadi, a teacher from Cape Town High School, shared his thoughts on the significance of blood donation, stating, “By donating blood, you are giving something that another person cannot. Anyone can donate money or accessories, but only you can donate your blood. And by doing so, you are giving someone else another chance at life.”

Shincheonji Volunteers remain committed to nurturing community well-being through education, health initiatives, and acts of service, ensuring that small contributions today can make a lasting impact on the lives of many.
