Heartfelt tributes flooded social media when South Africa learned of the passing of world-renowned artist Johnny Clegg on Tuesday. He succumbed to pancreatic cancer at the age of 66 after fighting the disease for five years.
The singer, songwriter, and dancer spent his final moments surrounded by family in his Johannesburg home. He is survived by his wife Jenny and their sons Jesse and Jaron who, through their family spokesperson Roddy Quinn, asked for privacy during this time.
He is also survived by adoring fans who took to Twitter to express their sorrow at the loss of South Africa’s ‘White Zulu’.
