Team SA victorious at 2019 Netball World Cup

Team SA are gunning for gold in the 2019 Netball World Cup which started on 12 July in Liverpool. They secured their fourth consecutive win from four games when they walked away with a 64-37 victory over Scotland on Monday.

The Spar Proteas played their first match on opening day against Trinidad & Tobago and won by 31 goals with a final score of 76-45.

The next day they triumphed over Fiji by a large margin, 90-35.

The next match was a close one, but South Africa achieved a narrow 55-52 win against world number two, Jamaica.

The South African national netball team ranks fifth in the world having participated in eight world cups, and even taking second place behind Australia in 1995.

The next match will be against fellow Africans, Uganda, on Wednesday 17 July at 19:00 at the M & S Bank Arena. They will face England the next day.
