The SA Weather Service issued a warning of widespread showers and thundershowers in South Western regions on Friday.
From about 04:00 to 11:00, Cape Town residents can expect heavy rainfall in the Cape Metro and Grabouw area which could result in flash floods. The flooding could damage roads and homes. The rain will shift eastwards as the day progresses.
We urge the public to practice caution. Should any emergencies arise, please contact the City’s 107 call centre by dialling 021 480 7700 from a cellphone or 107 from a landline.
