The Allan Gray Orbis Foundation, part of the Allan & Gill Gray Philanthropies, has announced the opening of its annual applications for the High School Scholarship Programme. This opportunity is available to all current and eligible Grade 6 learners across South Africa.
The High School Scholarship Programme is crafted to foster young entrepreneurial talent. It aims to develop confident scholars who possess entrepreneurial thinking, unlocked potential, leadership qualities, and a drive to address South Africa’s pressing social and economic issues.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be considered for this prestigious scholarship, Grade 6 learners must demonstrate:
– Academic Excellence: Consistently high performance in their studies.
– Entrepreneurial Leadership Potential: Evidence of leadership and innovative thinking.
– Financial Need: Proof that household income does not exceed a monthly gross income of R20,000, including business revenue.

– Applicants must be in Grade 6 during 2024.
– Age requirement: Applicants must be born in 2012 or 2013 (11 or 12 years old).
– A minimum of 70% in English and Mathematics in Grade 5.
– Must be a South African citizen.
